I bought these lovely tweed shorts last Fall from LOFT. I’d planned to wear the shorts during the holiday season with a pair of tights, some cute pumps or boots, and maybe a blazer. As you can see, pictured below, it is the middle of summer and I am just now wearing them. One of reasons that I purchased the shorts is because they are versatile. Oh how I love my versatile pieces! Though the shorts are a tweed fabric, they are light weight, not lined, and can be worn any time of the year…SCORE!

Gone are the days where certain fabrics dictate when and even how they are worn. There used to be a time when people only wore tweed, wool, or leather in cooler months, but not anymore. Functional year-round pieces are being made from fabric that was once thought to be seasonal….hence my tweed shorts. Another great feature I love about these shorts is the fringed hem. Ideally, the thought of tweed tends to be a dressier fabric, but the added fringe changes the dynamics and allow the shorts to be dressed up or dressed down. Overall, purchasing these season-less shorts was great idea!
