Shoe Love Is True Love

How do I love shoes…let me count the ways. I can’t say that I’ve always been in love with shoes. I never hated shoes of course, but once upon a time long long long ago, shoes were just okay to me. Somewhere in my early twenties, I fell head over “heels” with shoes! I wish I could remember the exact moment that it happened, but all I know is one day I realized I was obsessed with shoes. In my opinion, shoes are the most important accessories in fashion. A fabulous shoe can make a good outfit great, and can make a bad outfit good. On the other hand, a bad shoe can do just the opposite. A fashionista can have an amazing outfit, but if “the shoes doesn’t fit”, the outfit will likely be disastrous. I am just so puny in this post!

Stating that the shoe has to “fit” the outfit doesn’t mean it has to match in color. Being matchy matchy is so 1980’s short-set era (which is has made a comeback). There are times when an outfit requires a pump, flats, wedges, etc. It’s all about trial and error before you head out the door. And trust me, you’ll know when you’ve found the right shoe for your outfit…at least I do. There is just a certain feel and vibe when it’s the right shoe. I like to wear a statement shoe such as floral print (pictured above), embroidery or studs with a simple outfit which will bring all the focus to the shoe! However, there are some instances where I like to be over the top and wear a statement outfit with a pair of statement shoes, but to pull it off; it has to be done right and with confidence. I could go on and on about shoes but my short post will turn into a book. If you haven’t already, explore different shoe types and shoe patterns. You just might discover shoe love like I did.
