Oh What Fun….And Fashion!

Rarely do I miss an opportunity to have some fun, so when my friend asked if I wanted to hang out with her at her river house Memorial Day Weekend, I ecstatically said YES! Of course being slightly obsessed with fashion, I had to get my outfits together because we went from a boat ride, to a pool, to a party with a live band!

For the boat ride, I decided to go with a simple white tee from LOFT, a pair of patriotic cut-off shorts from Target, a straw hat from Banana Republic, and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses. I felt the stars and stripes shorts were perfect for the occasion as they had characteristics of the American Flag… a Flag that soldiers gave their lives defending. *See Picture Below*

For the pool, I decided to go with a black one-piece swimsuit that I got from Target  last season. This suit has the perfect amount coverage with little side slits exposure. I think this swimsuit is also perfect for the times when you are not feeling a two-piece, but still want to keep it sexy! The swimsuit can also be worn with a strap or without a strap. * See Picture Below* Note: The picture below is from a cruise trip last year, but it’s a good photo of the swimsuit that I wore for the pool!

Now for the party, I went with a pastel pink cold shoulder top which scored me a feature on Banana Republic’s website!!  This cute comfy top is still available AND it is on sale with an extra percentage off. I paired the top with a darker denim short that I purchased from  Old Navy last season, and lemon tassel earrings for a sprinkle of color. By the way, this was my first time braving the cold-shoulder/off-the-shoulder trendy look and I think I like it! *See Picture Below*

Needless to say a fun fashionable Memorial Day Weekend was had by yours truly!
