A friend of mine invited me out to see my favorite band Hip Pocket. To say I love this band is an understatement. I adore Hip Pocket and I always like to look my best whenever I get to hear them play. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the band play and in the past, I’ve used them as an excuse to buy something new to wear. This time, however, I decided to take my own advice from the “Make A Statement” post and zhuzh up an old outfit while also saving money.

I decided to go with an all-black outfit (pictured below) because (1) black is flattering and when you look good you feel good (2) black goes with everything which made my accessory options endless! With endless possibilities available, I accessorized this oldie but goodie outfit with black tassel earrings, a yellow tassel drop necklace, a turquoise bracelet, and a blood orange clutch… see endless and colorful possibilities. The necklace and clutch were my statement pieces and the other accessories helped to round out the look. And yes, my friend and I had a wonderful time and we danced until our feet hurt!
